Pelion is a mountain full of attractions that everyone should visit. Important archaeological, religious, historical monuments, picturesque villages and traditional hamlets, natural monuments and more, make up the history of this place. Railway Station

The site of the old station is one of the most impressive areas, with well-preserved buildings in a landscape of outstanding natural beauty. Here you can ride the legendary train of Pelion, the “Moutzouris” starting from the station in Ano Lechonia.

Church of Taxiarches

Church of Taxiarches

Located at the top of the central square and renovated in 1741. The building is an aisled basilica with many elements of traditional Pelion architecture combined with a Greek Orthodox interior. This was the starting place of the Greek revolt against the Turks in 1821.

Tranlated to “Soul Therapy”, a true adornment for both the village and the country. This building was historically the Milies first school, founded in 1812 by the three teachers of the Nation, Anthimos Gazis, Gregorios Konstantas and Daniel Filippides.

Laography Museum

Laography Museum

The Regional Museum was founded in 1982 by Eleni – Fay Stamati. Includes a copy of the flag of the 1821 Revolution, embroidery, textiles, pictures, objects of traditional local trades and rich photographic material.

De Chirico Bridge

De Chirico Bridge

This impressive metal bridge above the Taxiarhis watercourse, is located just next to the station and follows the curve of the railroad track. It is known by this name in honor of the Italian manufacturer, Evaristo de Chirico.

Monastery of St. Nikolaos

Monastery of St. Nikolaos

The Monastery of St. Nicholas the Martyr is located 5 km. Southeast of the village and hosts remarkable frescoes. Build with the donation and care of Anna Farantatou. It offers spectacular views of the entire village and the Pagasitikos.
