On top of Pelion, at an altitude of 1471 meters, lies the ski resort Agriolefkes. The resort consists of five tracks with total length of 15km, overlooking the endless blue sky and sea. Four of these slopes approved by the International Ski Federation (FIS) for downhill skiing, while the fifth is an endurance road track (Lang-Lauf), 5 km., Unique for its natural environment, the course descends through beeches, aspens, chestnut trees and is overlooking the Aegean.

The ski center has parking spaces, shelter, refreshments, restaurant, ski & snowboard rental equipment and a clinic. It also operates a ski & snowboard school, with special sections for children 3 years and older, with experienced educators.

For those who are not fans of winter sports but love relaxing climbs, walks and cafes, you can find a traditional chalet with magnificent views and cozy atmosphere, offering a variety of drinks, coffees and other hot beverages along with traditional delicacies.

Pelion is an ideal area for hiking. The beauty of the mountain with lush vegetation and picturesque villages, urge hikers to explore and discover its unknown beauty. Walking through the lush nature, unfolding beside the old cobblestones, the familiar streets, along with the paths that were the old road network of Pelion, through which animals moved to transport people and goods. The cobbled streets were built by local builders and renowned Epirus stone craftsmen. Beautiful arched bridges and large public exceptional architectural design fountains adorn these routes. In later years, with the opening of a modern road network and the abandonment of trails in the dense and wild vegetation resulted in the destruction of many roads. Fortunately, in recent years, local agencies funded by the European Union and supported by the ESO, performed the reconstruction, maintenance, promotion, signage and mapping of 29 beautiful cobbled paths and trails of Pelion, with a total length of 190 km. In recent years, local residents attempt to revive the old traditions of Pelion, when the horses were the main means of transport and not only. The old regional road network was constructed so as to facilitate the movement of residents with horses. Today, these paths create scenic routes that can be crossed on horseback. Strolling in Milies you will find Apostolia and Giannis, who with great passion and love are ready to introduce you and your family to this particular area through routes with their horses and to remind you of something from the old days the locals.
